TradeRouter Pro
TradeRouter Pro is the missing link between your technical analysis software (like MultiCharts, MetaStock, Fibonacci Trader, etc.) or other external analysis package and your broker’s order processing systems. The unique concept of TradeRouter Pro lies in taking care of the ‘nuts and bolts’ of getting the order to the broker, isolating your analysis software from those technicalities so that all you have to care about is your trading system. The complete order execution is taken over by the TradeRouter Pro so you can focus on what's important for you and your clients, getting the returns.
Some of the unique characteristics of TradeRouter Pro
- Every strategy, technical, fundamental or based on rules can be fully automated;
- Positions can be entered with broad range of order types and advanced orders in different phases;
- Whenever a position needs to be entered, you have the option of submitting a tentative limit order during a short period of time; in case the order isn’t filled in time, the limit can be automatically adjusted or the order can be automatically replaced by a market order;
- Stop-loss and profit stop orders can be generated by the technical analysis software, but can also be created automatically by TradeRouter Pro, according to your risk management specifications;
- Trailing stops can be generated by TradeRouter Pro and can be adjusted continuously;
- You can set up ‘time windows’ in which positions may exist, so that you can be sure that you’ll be flat by the end of the trading session;
- When trading futures, the exact contract to be traded can be determined automatically via the current date, rolling over positions whenever necessary, completely automated;
- TradeRouter Pro monitors the quality of the link to the broker, and can raise an alarm when necessary, for example by sending an e-mail or an SMS message;
- After every trade TradeRouter Pro can submit a trade report per e-mail or SMS;
- Position adjustments can of course also be made manually, with immediate execution.
Compatibility with technical analysis software
No specific requirements exist for your technical analysis software, as long as it is able to communicate its trading decisions to external systems.
Examples of such software are eSignal, TradeStation, MetaStock and Fibonacci Trader. Custom-built systems can communicate with TradeRouter Pro via an ActiveX-control.
Compatibility with brokers and their order processing systems
TradeRouter Pro currently connects to GNI, MF Global, Interactive Brokers and IG Markets. Via these brokers, you can trade shares, options and futures, but also special products like CFD’s and Forex.
TradeRouter Pro even allows for connecting to this variety of brokers simultaneously; you can trade product X at broker ABC and trade product Y at broker DEF at the same time.
Black Box systems
If your specific trading strategy can’t be captured in a regular technical analysis system, then the solution may be a custom-made system which implements your strategy. Such a system connects to TradeRouter Pro which takes care of sending your order to the exchange. Due to the open architecture of TradeRouter Pro, such a connection can be set up easily.
