IG Markets Partners Team Sky
IG Markets is delighted to become an Official Partner of Team Sky, Britain's leading professional cycling team, as an official sponsor. Our partnership brings together exceptional functionality in online trading with outstanding performance in competitive cycling.

officialskypartner Team Sky will carry the IG Markets brand on the collar and seat of all team kit for the 2011 season, starting with January’s Tour Down Under in Adelaide, and all subsequent races including the Tour de France in July.

The partnership will take the team through 60 races, on four continents, over a nine-month season, and underlines the growing popularity that both cycling and CFD trading continue to see on a truly global basis.

About team Sky
Team Sky was created in February 2009 and started to compete on the road at the Tour Down Under in January 2010. The 29-strong squad of riders includes the British trio of Bradley Wiggins (triple Olympic gold medal winner), Geraint Thomas (Olympic gold medallist) and Ben Swift (Under-23 European Track Championship gold medallist). The team won 22 races in its first season and entered its debut Tour de France last summer.

Square Mile Challenge

To celebrate this new partnership, on Friday 26 November 2010, IG Markets and Sky Pro Cycling will be taking over Broadgate Circle in London for the inaugural IG Markets Square Mile Challenge.

The event will include opportunities for members of the public to meet and race against the Team Sky champions Bradley Wiggins, Geraint Thomas and Ben Swift, with a range of prizes to be won and goodies to be given away. For more details, please visit www.igmarkets.co.uk/cycling.
